Initial appointment
During your initial appointment, you will come to our practice and discuss your goals for your new smile. After studying slides and photographs of models and our prior cosmetic dental treatment results, you can choose the new size, shape, and colour of your teeth. Taking into consideration your facial shape, lip line, eye position, and jaw angle, our cosmetic dentists, lead by Dr. Prasanth Pillai, will help guide your choices and create the best smile to match your facial features.
Digital Smile Design Appointment
Over the next few days after your consultation, we will study the photographs, X-rays, and digital analysis of your teeth in order to come up with an appropriate treatment plan that fits your needs. We use enhanced Digital Photography to evaluate your smile and video analysis for lip movements in natural speech are very different to those in a posed smile. We often don’t see ourselves as others do so a short video clip helps us to see how your smile relates to your face in normal speech. The Digital Smile Design (DSD) allows an accurate planning of the amount of gingival tissue that should be removed during the surgical procedure of gummy smile correction and guarantees a better perspective of the treatment by the patient, being a tool of great value for dentists. When you return to our cosmetic dentistry practice in Cochin, we will share the plan with you, discuss the cost of the procedures, and present computer-generated images of your new teeth. If you are satisfied with your individualized cosmetic dentistry plan, we will then schedule your treatment, or we may even begin your treatment immediately.
Creating your smile
Test Drive – lets you (and us) preview how your final smile will be. Decisions can be made about tooth length, shape, colour etc.This is then translated to our team of ceramists, dental technicians and specialists who can advise on all aspects as required and contribute to the blue-print of your smile.
When you return to our practice, we will begin treating your teeth to create your new smile. Doing so could take more than one appointment, depending on the elements in your personalized plan. Using comprehensive cosmetic dentistry treatments such as porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, composite bonding, and teeth whitening with artistry and skill, we will create the beautiful smile you’ve always dreamed of. We will also treat your dental health with our general and restorative dentistry techniques, which may include filling cavities or cleaning your teeth. After treatment, most patients are completely satisfied with their new smiles, as they are created entirely to their liking.
