Can You Whiten a Bonded Tooth?

Composite bonding can be used alongside teeth whitening treatments to help you achieve a brighter, whiter smile. But once the bonded resin is stained, we can't whiten it even with tooth-whitening products because they can't penetrate the nonporous resin. Fortunately, the non-porous nature slower the staining in bonded portion than the natural teeth.

The convenient solution is simply to replace the stained bonding material at the same time or within a week of tooth whitening to ensure that the composite matches the shade of the whitened teeth.
