Dental Implant

Why is dental bonding so popular?

Dental bonding is a non-invasive procedure that can enhance your smile quickly by fixing many minor dental imperfections, like cracked or chipped teeth, stained or yellowed teeth, gaps between teeth, misshapen teeth. Dental bonding produces instant results, with a tooth-coloured composite resin being bonded directly to the surface of a tooth to mask irregularities. It can be done in one office visit and anaesthesia is generally not required. Dental bonding is less expensive than crowns and porcelain veneers and most insurance plans will cover it.

Dental bonding is stain resistant, but it is not as tough as dental crowns and dental veneers. Additionally, dental bonding treatment is not as durable as other cosmetic procedures. There is a moderate chance that the bonding material can chip or break. Bonded teeth experience wear and tear and may need replacement or repair within three to ten years. However, Dental bonding is suitable for patients whose oral health is overall really good and they just have one chipped tooth or a small gap between their teeth, most people are happy with what dental bonding has to offer.
